“It brings me immense fulfillment and joy to help people take ownership of their journey in life”
Hi, I’m Palmer
I have always known that one of my happy places was having meaningful conversations with people, listening to their stories and understanding more about their hopes and ambitions.
I love seeing people talk about their passions and what their ideal journey in life would be. I quickly realized that it brought me immense fulfillment and joy to help people take ownership of their journey in life, and make their hopes and goals a reality.
In my own life, I have had many seasons where I have felt aimless and confused on what direction I wanted to head in. There were many times where I was just trying to get through the next day, and didn’t care to think about the journey ahead. I felt hopeless and angry at the circumstances I was facing in life. I wondered how I would find meaning in these seasons.
Fast forward a decade…
…and a lot of reflection, growth and hard work, I have found that my purpose is in helping young people:
Discover or pursue their passions
Navigate the hard seasons
Find joy in their everyday lives
Gain purpose and direction
Create and conquer goals to build the future they want
During my time as a camp counselor 8 years ago, I learned how meaningful conversations could be with young people when they were encouraged to look past their immediate future and ponder what they could use their unique gifts for.
However, I knew that a week or two of conversation was not enough to really help guide and encourage them. Enter my career as a student confidence, journey, and life coach.
If you haven’t seen it yourself, I can tell you that watching someone show up consistently to work on themselves and their goals is one of the most amazing things to witness.
Being able to help young people tap into their true selves and take steps to own their journey is a true gift.
Discovering one’s true self is already challenging on its own, let alone while managing personal, family, and societal pressures. Even the best intentions from any of those three can inadvertently lead us astray from our own journey. Whether you are a young adult/teen yourself or the parent of one, if you feel that having a new and unique pillar of support could be helpful, I would love to have a conversation and see if we are a good fit.
A Little More About Me
I am a Denver native and am now based out of Fort Collins, Colorado. Before my wife and I settled in Fort Collins, I backpacked to over 55 countries, each of which taught me something new about myself and the world. I love staying active, whether that’s at the gym, hiking, rowing, or paddle boarding.
My story includes being the middle of three boys, being a teenager during a high conflict, decade year-long divorce, gaining 3 step siblings, getting sent to a treatment center in the middle of my high school years, and many years of growth, hard work on my inner self and immense joy, laughter, and purpose.
I hope to be the “non-family” support and encourager I needed when I was younger and facing some of the most crucial years.
Meet Andrew!
Andrew has spent the last 9 years investing in students, athletes, and young adults, helping them build confidence, direction, and a clearer sense of who they want to become. Through his work as the area director of a national athlete mentorship group, his time as a youth pastor, his studies and placement site work for his Human Development and Family Studies degree, and his experience coaching basketball - he kept seeing the same thing. When a young person feels seen, believed in, and supported by someone who cares about their growth, something meaningful happens.
Outside of coaching, Andrew loves being active in the outdoors, savoring good coffee, engaging in meaningful conversations, and deepening his relationship with his wife.
A Little More About Andrew
Andrew also knows what it feels like to lose sight of who you are. In high school, he spent years feeling pulled away from his values and unsure of what direction he wanted his life to go. A few steady and intentional people stepped into his life at the right moments and helped him work through those darker seasons. They challenged him, grounded him, and helped him reconnect with the kind of man he wanted to be. Their impact shaped the way he now shows up for students and is a big part of why he believes relational support can change the direction of a young person’s life.
Today, Andrew helps youth move out of autopilot and into ownership and purpose. He loves watching students recognize their strengths, build confidence that comes from within, and start creating a life that actually excites them. For Andrew, coaching is not just guidance - it’s creating a trusting relationship, discovering purpose, and helping young people create a life they are proud of.
